Combat positions and movements for shooting

Combat positions and movements for shooting.

Standing.
Kneeled.
Full sideways on the ground.
On the stomach.
Sitting, with legs forwards.
And more positions

Training
-Suddenly
-And best positions for long term, due to for example, foot plant and or hand placement, leg angles, arm angles and so forth.

Best ways to get to positions. How to move.

From position to position.

Best positions and placements and angles for recoil control.

Best position for the situation.

Best ways to get to positions on:
-Sand
-Grass
-Hard ground

Should become instinctive.

With multiple different weapons.

And also reloading.

Break falling.

Rolling.

Good training:
From standing to kneeling.
-To left leg forwards
-To right leg forwards

To full sideways on the ground position.

To on the stomach.

To kneeling again.

To standing again.

Shooting from a sitting position

Shooting from a sitting position. Also from a chair for example.

1 With pulling the firearm
2 Firearm ready for when needed.

Handgun.
Left hand or right hand. Sideways shooting from a chair.
-Shooting to the left side - Left hand trigger pull, left eye open, right eye closed. Or instinct shot.
-Shooting to the right side - Right hand trigger pull, right eye open, right eye closed. Or instinct shot.

And also with a submachine gun, assault rifle and a shotgun.

Important: Also instinctive shooting, without seeing the aligning of the sights. Fast response.

Being able to shoot from any position
-Standing
-Kneeling
-Grounded
 -On the stomach
 -On the back
 -On the sides

-

Using both handgun cummon cocking methods

-

Fast shooting multiple close by targets while a scope is on the rifle,
while not looking through the scope.

-

Fastest draw and shoot two handed
-Right hand, main gun grip and trigger pull
-Left hand, main gun grip and trigger pull

Fastest draw and shoot one handed
-With right
-With left

-

Being able to shoot on instinct fast, without looking at the sights for example.

-

Multiple targets, close retention
-1 handed
-1 handed and 2 handed

-

1 shot, reload, 1 shot

Idea: Being able to memorise and shoot targets blindfolded

Being able to look at a target, memorise it and being able to shoot it blindfolded

Very important: Extra safety
-It should be possible to shoot in any direction, also upwards and far.
-Bullets travel a long way and come down again, if shot upwards.
No one should be around offcourse
 And maybe more.

1 Being able to do blindfolded sight alignments. Or just closing the eyes (easier).
Doing stick outs and full draws and sight alignemnts. And afterwards looking
if the sight alignment was right.
2 Pointing at something, memorising it, lowering the hand and being able
to point at it directly without looking. And then looking if it was right.
2.5 Looking at the target, closing the eyes and then being able to point at it.
3 First pointing the gun at the target with sight alignment, lowering the gun
closing the eyes, doing a full with sight alignemnt and shooting the target.
and hearing if it was hit.
4 Looking at the target, closing the eyes doing a full with sight alignemnt and shooting the target.
and hearing if it was hit.

Part 2, even harder:
First turning 90 degrees to 180 degrees and then hitting the target.
And then just circling with the eyes closed and then being able to hit the target.

Idea: Being able to shoot at a sound source blindfolded

Strange and interesting shooting skill I thought up.

Shooting blindfolded towards a sound and hitting the target in front of it.
-So something that makes a sound + target in front of it.
 -Or a more advanced setup.

Very important: Safety
-You should be able to shoot into any direction including upwards and far.
(bullets can travel a long way when shot upwards and come down again).
And you might shoot down or upwards too much because it's very hard to aim while blindfolded.
 Offcourse nobody should be near.
 And maybe more.

Important: Being able to align front and rear sight blindfolded..
-Full draw and closed eyes front and rear sight alignment.
-Simply open the eyes to see if the sights were alignt
And offcourse being able to align front and rear sight while sticking the gun out.
And being able to hold the front and rear sight alignment while turning.

Shooting theory - Sight alignment difficulty and a drill

Doing sight alignment while going to aim at a white background while having
black front and rear sights is easy.
But sight alignment while going to aim at a black or just a dark coloured background
while having black front and rear sights, is a lot harder.

It's best to train this.

-

And even better is being able to basicly always do a sight alignment even when being blindfolded.
-So draw and sight alignment even when blindfolded.

Training pull and sight alignment to the point you could do it blindfolded is a good idea.
-Only forwards from around chest and sight alignment
-Full draw and forwards and sight alignment

Training this with the needed or even all firearms.

Handgun shooting - Slide pull, cocking without using the other hand

Partly theorethical and experimental.
Imporant: Safety.

More:
You can pull the slide, cock the gun with one hand if really needed.
-On the upperleg.
-Just something or somehow you can get enough traction or hook the rear sight or clamp it to cock it.
--Biting down on the slide (at the right place) and then pulling the slide might even be possible.
Important: This basicly isn't for regular training. But it can be very useful to be able to do this if needed. So training it atleast once is not a bad idea (with enough safety knowledge, also especially for this).

Handgun shooting - Slide pull, cocking

Two methods for pulling the slide, cocking.
1: With the thumb and pointing finger.
2: With the pointing, middle, ring and little finger and the palm.

More shooting information and two drills

Trigger finger placement and problems:
-Too much to the left, gun will go right a bit
-Too much to the right, gun will go to the left a bit
Extra:
-Too high, gun will go up a bit
-Too low, gun might go up or down a bit, depending on certain factors.

Keeping sight alignment while moving around
-Moving from slow to very fast to running
-Walking forward, backwards, sideways, pivotting. And just random movement.

Left to right and right to left transition drills assualt rifle
 Sometimes needed from cover
 1 Switch from shoulder
 2 Complete regrip
So you're shooting from the right side from a cover and then you go to the other side and shoot.

Shooting drills I do

Shooting drills I do: Though I can only do simmulations without an actual handgun or assault rifle

Important:
 1 Safety
 Good stance.

-

Handgun:

On one target
 Single shots
 Double shots
 Triple shots

Single shots with high concentration for far shots

On multiple targets:
 Two targets
 Three targets
 Four targets
 Five targets
 Six targets
 Seven or more targets

And:
 90 degree turns
 180 degree turns
360 degree and multiple targets all around
 Kneeling
 With stress test
 Sideways
 Turning
  Slight turns
 1 to 3 minutes
 Walk in
 Walk out
Walk in or out and one-two to one and to five
 With a lot of movement

 Multiple vertical angles
Shooting upwards for shooting through windows

Shooting and moving, for being harder to hit

 From cover position
From cover position, to aim and shoot to cover again

 Speed shooting

Drawing training

Realistic:
With slide pull and magazine release and reloading and shots of magazine capicity
A normal handgun magazine capicity is 5 to 10 bullets, normally 10 bullets
So:
 Magazine loading training
 Loading
 Slide pull
 And:
 Magazine release
 Reloading
Also done seperately

Extra:
 Standing on one foot
  Not for the gun range.

-

Assault rifle
 Single shots
Around the same as handgun drills
And maybe earlier pivot then with a handgun due to stance
 Full auto
Pulling the trigger and keeping it pulled
And go <--- and ---> with the hips. And a strong stance
  For around 4 seconds

Single shots:
 From kneeled position
 Sharp shooting, from laying position

And from standing to a kneeling reload and progress walking in on target(s)

Assualt rifle right to left transition
Can be important for cover positions
  1 Only shoulder change
  2 Full change

+ A lot of things of the first part

-

Shotgun
 A pump everytime
  Single shots
  Two shots, two targets
  Three shots, three targets
Or 1 pump and multiple shots and targets

Also Pump and shoot, pump and shoot, pump and shoot, pump and shoot

+ A lot of things of the first part

-

Assualt rifle to handgun transition
